India is becoming strong economically but is deteriorating environmentally. It is inheriting the disposable plastic culture, importing trash in the name of resources and is spending more on packaging than on goods.
Segregation at source has not been adopted. Communities , who a decade back were composting , do not wish to do that now because the waste is transferred from their colonies to landfills more regularly now than a decade back.
Very sad and frustating.
